The County Detective position aids local Police departments in investigating crimes, providing expertise, and ensuring consistent processes across all municipalities.

As a County Detective, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to local law enforcement in solving crimes.
• Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects while reviewing evidence to gather vital information.
• Testify in court as required.
• Prepare detailed reports on all activities and collaborate with various agencies.
• Represent the District Attorney's Office at law enforcement meetings.
• Utilize various technologies like computers, 2-way radios, cell phones, and more.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Act 120 Municipal Certification preferred

• At least 5 years of prior experience as a police officer, with at least 2 of those years in Pennsylvania
