Counties encouraged by creation of Pennsylvania Behavioral Health Council

As the ones who coordinate and provide these critical services at the local level, counties stand ready to be an active partner in these timely and important conversations.
Pennsylvania Counties have been consistently calling for the state to get serious about a long-term vision and plan for mental health in the commonwealth, and to begin the critical work of stabilizing and rebuilding our crumbling mental health system. CCAP is encouraged to see Governor Shapiro’s executive order creating the Pennsylvania Behavioral Health Council and prioritizing the need for a coordinated, action-oriented strategy to meet the behavioral health needs of our residents.
