Late Wednesday, the House passed HB 611, which contained the FY 2023-2024 state budget with a promise from the Governor to eliminate school-choice funding
On Wednesday, the House concurred on Senate amendments to HB 611 with a $45.5 billion budget plan for FY 2023-2024 on a vote of 117-86. The vote comes after a statement from the Governor pledging to line item veto funding for PASS scholarships as it was deemed an issue holding up further budget negotiations.
